Sahaja Yoga Methodology
What is Meditation
- Meditation is a state of mind
- Meditation happens when thoughts from past and about the future have faded from the mind
- The mind effortlessly elevates into a state of quietness
- You do not have to stress to train your mind to behave a certain way
Tools for Meditation
- Everything you need to experience the state of meditation, a quiet mind, is right within you
- All you need to do is learn the right technique to balance your inner system
- You have seven energy centers lined up along your spine, called chakras
- You also have three channels of nerves along the left, right and center of your body, called nadis
- And the Kundalini power that sits in the triangular sacrum bone just above the base of your spine
How does meditation happen
- The state of quietness of mind, of meditation happens when your chakras get aligned and balanced
- Your Kundalini is the one that re-aligns and balances your chakras
- When the chakras are balanced, the Kundalini is able to smoothly go up your system
- As it moves up, it elevates your attention into that state of quietness
- It's like your attention getting a ride in an elevator and getting to the top floor where there is no chaos of thoughts, but just quietness of mind
- Now you are in meditation
Thoughtless Awareness
"The enlightenment is within you. Everything works out, because you are the Ocean of it. You have it within yourself. Only thing is, you have to tap into it. If you do not tap into it, then it does not work out. You have to just tap into it, and you’ll be amazed that you are a source of such joy, source of such happiness, I should say source of real enlightenment."
